Job summary

Compass Community’s residential care team is seeking a Bank Support Worker to help young people in our care. You will support children, build trusting relationships, and contribute to safeguarding and daily activities.

No prior experience is required, as you will receive a comprehensive induction and ongoing training. A valid manual driving licence is preferred; 22+ years old due to Ofsted regulations. This role offers flexible hours and meaningful development.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 22 years or older (Ofsted requirement).
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Can remain calm in challenging situations.
• Previous experience not essential; comprehensive induction and ongoing training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with children and young people in care, building positive relationships and safeguarding their well-being.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high levels of supervision and support.
• Assist with care, activities, hobbies and educational pursuits for our children and young people.
• Create timetables and set boundaries and expectations for the children.
