Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care is seeking an experienced Ward Nurse to join our bank team at Wetherby Eye Hospital. The role offers pay up to £30 per hour depending on experience, with flexibility to cover shifts in York and Bradford.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with active registration.
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Qualification in Ophthalmology or peri-operative care.
• Minimum one year experience in an Ophthalmology Theatre.
• Knowledge of private and operating settings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Surgical pathway at Optegra.
• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the theatre team.
• Provide peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suites.

The Role

You will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Surgical pathway at Optegra. It goes without saying that you’ll be passionate about providing excellent care to all patients. You will have specific responsibility for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team. This will also include peri‑operative and post‑operative care in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital.

What You’ll Need

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Qualification in Ophthalmology or peri operative care
• Previous experience in an Ophthalmology Theatre, minimum one year
• Knowledge in private and operation settings
