Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care is seeking an experienced Ward Nurse to join our bank team at Preston Eye Hospital. The role offers up to £30 ph depending on experience and requires flexibility to cover shifts in Manchester and Sheffield.

You will support the ophthalmic surgical pathway, providing clinical and technical assistance as part of the operating theatre team, with peri-operative and post-operative care across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Qualification in Ophthalmology or perioperative care
• Minimum of one year ophthalmology theatre experience
• Experience in private and operation settings

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Surgical pathway
• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the theatre team
• Deliver peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite

The Role

You will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Surgical pathway at Optegra. You’ll be passionate about providing excellent care to all patients. You will have specific responsibility for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team. This will also include peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital.

What You’ll Need

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Qualification in Ophthalmology or peri operative care
• Previous experience in an Ophthalmology Theatre, minimum of one year
• Knowledge in private and operation settings
