About The Role

We are looking for Bank Support Workers covering days, evenings, waking nights in our Telford services. For this role it essential you be able to drive. Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?   • The main focus of the support is to enable the people we support to live a full and happy life, to run their own home and to take part in a range of activities in the community.
  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way. Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice. General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care. As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

The position involves lone working. You would need to be able to work on a rota which includes shift work and weekends. Experience working within complex care.

About The Service

Our properties are in close proximity to each other, in the beautiful town of Telford. We offer a diverse and person-centred services to meet the needs of each individual, we can offer both supported living within a scheme or in individual settings.

At Darwin Community Support - Swanton Care, we support a diverse set of individuals with varying diagnosis, we work with the local authority to identify and meet the needs of the people we support.

We also have a shared office space which is in a central location and is a central hub for the entire service. We can utilise this space for training and to ensure people have private space for their own meetings.
