  • Zero-hour Contract working on a rota pattern

At Storyy Group, we are passionate about ensuring every young person has a brighter future. Our mission is to provide high-quality care and support through residential care, semi-independent accommodation, alternative education, and positive pathways for young people. Our 16+ accommodation services are designed to support care-experienced young people in their transition to independent living.

We collaborate with local authorities, schools, and other partners to ensure the young people we work with can lead fulfilling lives. Our services are rooted in compassion, trauma-informed care, and building supportive, trusting relationships with those in our care.

Key Objectives:

As a Bank Support Worker, your role will involve providing compassionate and person-centered support to young people, helping them to:

  • Be Healthy
  • Stay Safe
  • Enjoy and Achieve
  • Make a Positive Contribution
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Provide trauma-informed support to young people, promoting independence.
  • Build trusting, positive relationships and encourage ‘positive risk-taking’ within a safe, risk-assessed framework.
  • Assist young people with daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, and accessing benefits and employment opportunities.
  • Empower young people to apply for housing and welfare benefits they are entitled to.
  • Support their mental resilience and assist in managing adverse experiences.
  • Work closely with local authorities and other external professionals to ensure young people achieve their goals.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety of the service.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records for effective care delivery.
A Day in the Life:

Working for Storyy Group means that no two days are the same. You’ll support young people with daily tasks such as cooking, maintaining their rooms, attending health appointments, and applying for benefits. You will help them to learn life skills, assist with CV writing, and support them in job interviews. You will also manage challenging situations, such as substance misuse, barriers to education, and emotional distress.

Our goal is to help young people build positive relationships, thrive in a safe environment, and gain the confidence to move toward independent living.

Matty is a 16-year-old in our care, with a background of neglect, abuse, and several foster placements that have broken down. He struggles with aggressive behavior, self-harming, and substance misuse. Your role would be to help Matty feel safe, build trust, and work toward independence.
