Job description

Night Support Worker

We’re looking for a kind, compassionate, and resilient Night Support Worker at our Bracknell Young People services.

Salary: £X, per annum, working hours per week.

What you’ll do:
  1. Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere.
  2. Work proactively with team members to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
  3. Conduct key work sessions that are innovative and engaging to achieve Support Plan goals.
  4. Ensure ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers, practicing ‘positive risk taking’.
  5. Provide support with daily living activities, including practical assistance for independent living, budgeting, cooking, and establishing a night-time routine.
  6. Support customers to maintain a healthy environment and assist with cleaning and personal hygiene as appropriate.
  7. Record and report customer incidents.
  8. Manage customer referrals, complete assessments, and maintain relevant paperwork.
  9. Develop productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes.
  10. Adhere to lone working protocols and maintain health and safety awareness.
  11. Involve customers in service design, development, and delivery.
  12. Ensure adherence to Look Ahead Health and Safety policies, including fire risk assessments and checks.
  13. Take on shift-leading responsibilities, coordinating and leading shifts in the absence of a manager.
  14. Responsible for handover of key information between shifts.
  15. Follow all other Look Ahead policies and procedures.
  16. Engage in learning and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  17. Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.
