Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Bank Support Worker to join our Anderida and Court Lodge services in Mersham, near Ashford. You will provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, enabling independence and life skills in a supportive team.

No fixed hours? This is a bank/zero-hour role offering flexible shifts across rota patterns. Training and induction are provided to help you grow in a rewarding, long-term care career.

Location: Mersham, Ashford, Kent
Rate: £13.03 per hour
Bank/Zero Hour Contract

About the Services – Anderida and Court Lodge

Anderida currently provides support for three gentleman with Mild LD, Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injury. The Service Users enjoy going to our Day center and Sensory Interaction.

Court Lodge is a small care home which provides care and support for up to 6 people with learning disabilities and mental health diagnoses. The service is a detached bungalow in a quiet residential area close to local amenities with onsite parking.

The Role

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers is desired but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
