Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care in Manchester is seeking a Bank Scrub Nurse to join our private eye hospital on a zero-hours contract with flexible shifts across Manchester, Sheffield and Preston. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality surgical nursing care.

You must be a Registered General Nurse or an ODP, with current NMC/ODP registration and at least one year of theatre experience, with knowledge of private and operating room settings.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered General Nurse or an Operating Department Practitioner.
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum of one year theatre experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of surgical nursing care within ophthalmic theatre.
• Work with clinical colleagues and optometrists on diagnostics, pre‑assessment and post‑operative care.
• Support a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Optegra has an exciting job opportunity for a Bank Scrub Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team in our prestige private Manchester Eye Hospital. This is a zero hour contract offering flexible shifts. We’ll also require you to cover shifts in our Sheffield and Preston eye hospitals.

The Role

As part of a multi-disciplinary team with an emphasis on quality patient care, you will provide the highest standards of care to our patients. You’ll work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists delivering diagnostics, pre assessment and post operative ophthalmic care and treatment.

What You’ll Need

• Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Previous experience in an Theatre, minimum of one year
• Have knowledge in private and operation settings.
