Job summary

Compass Children's Homes is seeking dedicated Residential/Youth Workers to support children in care. You will build trusting relationships, safeguard young people, and help with activities and education. Comprehensive induction and ongoing training accompany a supportive team.

Having a driving licence is advantageous; the role offers flexible hours and potential for development within a caring residential setting focused on creating a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years old or above to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring and able to build positive relationships with others.
• Has a valid manual driving licence.
• Can remain calm in challenging situations.
• Previous care experience is not essential but welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with children and young people, building positive relationships and safeguarding.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, including those requiring higher levels of supervision.
• Assist with care and support for children and young people, including activities, hobbies and education.
