Job summary

Spire Hartswood in Brentwood is seeking an experienced Bank Receptionist to join our friendly team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, registering and directing them with warmth and professionalism.

This bank role covers ad hoc shifts from Monday to Saturday, including early and late coverage to support sickness and annual leave. Prior experience in a hospital reception or similar environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles at a front desk or reception.
• Ability to greet patients and collect necessary information accurately.
• Comfortable handling patient data with high accuracy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming, registering, including the accurate collection of credit card details and patient information.
• Directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, to the hospital in a warm, professional and caring manner and in such a way as to provide confidence.
• Discharge of patients onto computer system ensuring accuracy of all information.
• Manage the hospital switchboard in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
• Undertake various clerical duties including checking of bed status reports, ordering and distribution of newspapers, including badges for visitors, booking taxis.

Bank Receptionist | Brentwood | Bank Ad hoc shifts | Monday - Saturday Spire Hartswood are currently looking to recruit experienced Receptionist staff to join our friendly team on the bank. You will be a first point of contact at the hospital for patients, so will politely and courteously, register and direct patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, in a proactive, warm, professional and caring manner. This is a bank role working ad hoc shifts to cover sickness and annual leave between Monday - Saturday, covering early and late shifts. Spire Hartswood Hospital is a 49 bed hospital with 4 theatres and offers a comprehensive range of services and facilities.
