Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is looking for a Bank Project Worker to support young people at our Canterbury and Sittingbourne sites. You will assess needs, update plans, and connect clients with education, training, and employment opportunities.

The role involves helping with daily living tasks and managing finances, while promoting inclusion and resilience. The position requires safeguarding awareness, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with vulnerable people.
  • Positive approach to supporting young people with varied needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • Effective communication and ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Knowledge of support planning, key working, risk assessment, and safeguarding.
  • Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

  • Assess customer needs, update support plans, and signpost to education, training, and employment.
  • Support customers with daily living tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Offer advice to help customers meet tenancy conditions.
  • Assist with managing finances and welfare benefits.
  • Promote social inclusion and help build confidence and resilience.
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met.

Your role
