Job summary

Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking a Scrub Nurse or ODP to join our theatre team on a bank basis, delivering perioperative care in a private hospital setting. Roles include scrubbing orthopaedic procedures, preparing equipment, and supporting the perioperative pathway with a collaborative MDT.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or ODP with theatre experience.
• Experience in orthopaedic settings preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Patient-focused with commitment to high clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for a range of orthopaedic procedures (e.g. joint replacements, arthroscopy, and minor procedures).
• Supporting the theatre team across the perioperative pathway
• Preparing equipment and ensuring theatres are safe and compliant
• Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and wider MDT
• Contributing to clinical quality, governance, and continuous improvement
• Supporting junior staff and contributing to a positive team culture

The Role
