Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our Retirement Community in Gravesend, Kent. The role involves carrying out site repairs, maintaining safety, and coordinating with contractors on site.

It requires a pragmatic approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We offer competitive hourly pay (£14.08/hour) and a supportive not-for-profit environment with opportunities for development and employee wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or a caretaker role.
• Ability to identify and carry out repairs safely using tools and light machinery.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site repairs and maintenance efficiently to keep everything running smoothly.
• Identify maintenance issues and arrange specialist support when needed.
• Complete planned tasks such as decorating and routine building checks.
• Maintain safe and secure environments, including occasional gardening duties.
• Act as the main point of contact for contractors on site.
• Experience in maintenance or a caretaker role.

Your role
