Job summary

Cygnet Group is hiring a Bank Kitchen Assistant at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury to support safe, clean and hygienic food service in a care setting. Flexible shifts to suit your availability, covering annual leave, sickness and training. You will assist with meal preparation, washing up, stock checking, deliveries and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering within a care setting is preferred.

Cygnet Hospital Oldbury is our state-of-the-art PICU & Acute hospital for women, in the West Midlands.

The service has two wards, a 12-bed PICU ward and a 15-bed Acute ward. Cygnet Hospital Oldbury has a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and supports the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.

Your Day-to-Day…

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
