Cygnet St Williams is seeking a Bank Kitchen Assistant / Housekeeper who is passionate about food and making a difference. You will work flexible bank shifts at Cygnet St Williams, providing care and support to people in our Neuropsychiatric service.

You’ll help prepare meals, keep kitchen areas clean and ensure hygiene standards are met. The role requires an enthusiastic team member with food hygiene certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in catering, preferably within a care setting.
• Holder of a food hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

• Perform cooking tasks and kitchen duties.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen, service areas and dining room.

Job Description

We are looking for an outstandingBank Kitchen Assistant / Housekeeperwhos passionate about food and wants to make a difference. Youll be workingflexible bank shifts a week at Cygnet St Williams, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care. Cygnet St Williams is a 12 bed Neuropsychiatric service offering care and treatment to those affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease, like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.

Your day-to-day

• Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals
• Perform cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Ensure the cleanl iness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Rotate stock & put away all deliveries
• Maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

• Experienced in catering, preferably within a care setting
• The holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn & an active team member
• Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times
• An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels
• Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
• Able to work on your own initiative, as part of a team & under supervision

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
