Cygnet Hospital Ealing is seeking a Bank Chef to cover morning shifts on a 7-day rota. You will prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals for patients, liaise with nursing staff on dietary needs, and keep kitchens clean and compliant with safety standards.

The role suits a skilled chef with care-sector experience, good hygiene, and a professional, proactive approach. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• A skilled chef/cook who can work under pressure.
• Ability to plan nourishing menus within available budgets.
• Must hold a food hygiene certificate and maintain high hygiene standards.
• DBS check may be required.

• Prepare, cook & serve nutritional, balanced and appetising meals
• Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients nutritional & dietary needs

We are currently recruiting for a

Bank Chef with previous experience working in a catering/kitchen/hospitality environment who can cover flexible ad hoc shifts as and when required to cover for annual leave, sickness, training, etc. at

Cygnet Hospital Ealing.

Our current need is for bank staff to cover morning shifts

(07:30am to 15:30pm) across a 7 day rota (Monday Sunday).

Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.

Our team works hard to create a cheerful, non-institutional environment, and to support individuals in their recovery and personal transformation. We make use of a range of therapies including psychodynamic, family, occupational, art, drama and complementary therapies. We also believe very strongly in patient-centred care, and involve our service users in shaping their own treatment, and in all aspects of hospital life.

  • Able to plan nourishing & attractive menus within available budgets
  • The holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards
  • Polite & professional, with a positive attitude to internal & external quests at all times
  • An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels
  • Able to work under your own initiative, as part of a team & under supervision
  • [Qualified in catering to City & Guilds 706: 1 & 2 level or NVQ Level 2/3]
  • Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
