Job summary

Southover Medical Practice in Torquay is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant with general practice knowledge to join our supportive team. You will assist with patient care and work closely with clinicians and the Nurse Lead.

Key duties include phlebotomy, health checks, BMI, blood pressure, wound care, and administrative tasks like registrations, leaflet provision, and stock control. The role requires familiarity with CQC requirements, confidentiality and data security, and a flexible

Qualifications

• Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy.
• Ability to work within processes while maintaining data security.
• Personable, polite, and patient with our patients; adaptable to changing priorities.
• Basic PC skills including Word, Excel and email.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a knowledge of working within a general practice environment to join our supportive and friendly team.

Southover Medical Practice are looking for a Healthcare Assistant for Bnk hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:

Keys duties will include:

• Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care.


• Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained.


• You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy.


• Provide clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and simple wound care.


• Completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, providing appropriate leaflets, stock control and ordering.
