Job summary

Operose Health in Devon is seeking a Healthcare Assistant with phlebotomy experience to support patients and clinical teams in a primary care setting. You will assist with patient duties, prepare equipment, collect blood for testing and maintain accurate medical records, contributing to compliance with CQC standards.

Successful candidates will have strong PC skills (Word, Excel, email), interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while delivering compassionate care to

Qualifications

• Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy is essential.
• Must be able to adapt with changing priorities and be personable, polite and patient with our patients.
• Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care.
• Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained.
• You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy.
• Properly prepare and assemble the equipment to include tourniquets, needles, gauze cotton and disposal containers for needles
• Collect blood for testing.
• Update and maintain patient’s medical record.
