Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Bed Capacity Co-ordinator for a 12 month secondment. You will coordinate inpatient bed usage across sites with guidance from senior colleagues in the Transfer of Care Hub.
The role offers hybrid working, with periodic in-person days for team working and meetings at BSW sites. You will liaise with clinicians and external providers to optimise bed flow and support new ways of working within a changing commissioning landscape.
The Transfer of Care Hub is a newly developed team with in BSW who are responsible for covering the 3 identified work streams of patient flow: Front door referrals, Clinically ready for discharge and Out of area placements.
This is a rare opportunity to work within the team as a Bed Capacity Co-ordinator for a 12 month secondment period. Your role will involve the logistical co-ordination of inpatient beds across BSW with the guidance and support of senior colleagues within the Transfer of Care Hub.
Please note this role adapts a hybrid work model, you will at times be required to attend one of our BSW sites in person for whole team working days and team meetings.

Support the effective and efficient use of inpatient beds.
Liaise with clinicians across BSW as directed, including external stakeholders to ensure the optimum use of inpatient beds.
To monitor the flow of all inpatient admissions, including liaising with other providers for timely return of any out-of-area placements to minimise financial impact on the organisation.
To contribute to the development of new ways of working and a changing commissioning landscape.
