Job summary

Generic Therapy Support Worker role in North Cornwall is Band 4, part-time (23 hours/week) based at Carew House, Bodmin. The NHS post requires experience in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, with a supportive learning environment and competencies development.

The post is with Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, offering a flexible pattern of work and a structured in-service training programme to support professional growth within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Good general education to GCSE or equivalent.
• Examinations taken in English Language or IELTS qualification.
• Theoretical and practical training to NVQ 3 level in relevant area or relevant experience.
• Evidence of recent study e.g. Anatomy and Physiology, Access to Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy course etc

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and discharge planning for patients under supervision.
• Interpret information relevant to patient condition and progress; set realistic goals.
• Maintain excellent organisational skills in older people’s services.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence and travel to different locations for hospital discharges.
• Work within a supportive MDT with therapists and other staff.
• Engage in CPD with supervision and annual training.
