Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Would you be interested in a career within the NHS as a Band 4 Nursing Associate, part time, in the community nursing team? Are you passionate about providing a patient centered support service and want to deliver excellent and compassionate care to people over the age of 18 that live in Bedfordshire?, We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic person who has excellent communication, IT literate and problem solving skills alongside a passion for patient centered care. You will work corporately within our Primary Care Team and will be supporting the Community Nurses in Bedford and the wider MDT to with provide high quality care to housebound residents who live with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions., The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and assist colleagues cover service needs, which will include working across the wider integrated team. Access to a car in order to carry out service duties is essential. A full induction programme will be provided. The Community Nursing Service operates between 08.00 to 21.00 hours and the working pattern will include a variety of rotational shifts which will include weekend, evening and Bank Holiday working.

  • Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information, Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalation to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
  • Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
  • Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and monitor care
