Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Band 3 Care Support Worker to join the Children’s Continuing Care Team in Wiltshire. This part-time role (27 hours/week) involves caring for children at home, including nights and evenings, with training provided for medical technologies and care planning.

You will travel across Wiltshire and Banes, liaising with families and safeguarding children as a core duty. The role requires driving, strong communication, confidentiality, and a compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license and use of a car.
• Willingness to travel across Wiltshire and Banes.
• Experience in caring for children with complex medical needs preferred.
• Ability to participate in training of new staff in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Caring for children in their own homes, including night, day, and evening shifts.
• Look after children with complex health needs who require medical technology.
• Receive training and work with a trained colleague while learning skills.
• Keep accurate records of the care provided.
• Communicate effectively with children and families.
• Follow the child care plan and respond when health deteriorates.
