Job summary

Wenzel’s the Bakers is seeking a Shop Supervisor in Watford to lead a team, serve customers, and uphold product quality and hygiene standards. You’ll train with company standards and have opportunities for progression.

The role involves managing daily operations, assisting the Shop Manager, and driving sales while controlling costs to grow the business and build a loyal customer base.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
• Experience in food production would be advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Assist with the management of branch stock and produce.
• Maintain shop displays.
• Have excellent product knowledge.
• Prepare food in line with the specification.
• Ensure food and produce quality control.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Work efficiently within a team.
• Handle cash and till operations.
• Open or close the shop when required.
• Run shifts at various times during the week.
• Drive sales and minimise wastage.
