Job summary

Kara, part of the Finsbury Food Group, is hiring a Hygiene Operative to keep production areas clean and compliant with food safety standards. You will work across production zones following hygiene procedures and maintaining accurate paperwork.

This is a Friday–Saturday role in the Manchester area, 23 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £13.06. The role requires reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work independently, with experience in FMCG or industrial cleaning preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous hygiene or industrial cleaning experience.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments (advantageous).
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a hands-on role.
• Hard-working and reliable with good time-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of production areas, equipment, and factory floor.
• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure areas are ready for production.
• Carry out hygiene duties, including deep cleaning and shutdown cleans (training provided).
• Complete hygiene and compliance paperwork accurately and on time.
• Work with the team to meet hygiene targets and uphold company values.
