Job summary

Kara Foodservice, part of the Finsbury Food Group, is recruiting a Skilled Operative for the Production Team in Manchester. You will work in a fast-paced bakery environment, ensuring the efficient and safe manufacture of finished products to the correct specifications and quality standards.

You will manage setup, changeovers, monitoring performance, and maintaining high hygiene and record-keeping practices, including CCP checks.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to standard.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Confidence to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Set up plant and ensure efficiency at start of production and during changeovers.
• Monitor performance and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Handle, store and manage ingredients and allergens per policy.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping using clean as you go practices.
• Lead the team to meet KPI targets and drive continuous improvement.
