Job summary

MAG (Airports Group) is hiring a System Baggage Operator at London Stansted Airport. You will play a central role in moving baggage efficiently from departure to reclaim, supporting safe operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Comfort with computer-based systems and digital tools.
• Clear radio communication skills required.
• Strong operational planning and coordination abilities.
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach.
• Ability to follow established procedures and contingency plans.
• Proactive safety, security and problem-solving mindset.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SAC, SCADA, CIS Chroma and CCTV is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control baggage departure/arrival systems.
• Prioritise interventions and coordinate fault responses.
• Balance and redirect baggage to optimise throughput.
• Manage arrivals throughput and reclaim allocation.
• Help recover systems after abnormal operations and restore baggage flow.
• Support contingency procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and handovers.
• Monitor baggage system health and safety; support manual interventions.
• Collate and report SLA/SQC baggage performance data.
