Job summary

BYLOR, a joint venture between Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke, is delivering backfill works for the HPC project in Somerset. The role leads pre‑construction and delivery activities, ensuring rigorous technical preparation, planning, coordination, and compliance before construction begins.

You will guide the excavation and backfill team, manage the 4D model and cost estimation, and drive procurement and subcontractor activities across alliance partners.

Qualifications

• Leads pre-construction and delivery activities with safety, sustainability and quality in mind.
• Manages backfill technical scope, design coordination and site trials.
• Oversees cost estimation, budgeting, and TOC planning with teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape permanent and temporary works designs meeting safety and buildability requirements.
• Owns and updates the 4D backfill model and validates construction rates.
• Directs subcontract scopes, tendering, and contract discussions with alliances.
