Job summary

BYLOR Joint Venture, a Bouygues/Laing O’Rourke collaboration, is recruiting for a Civil Engineering Co-ordination role on the HPC project in Somerset. You will assist with design process coordination, planning and programming of work packages to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will support methods statements, risk assessments, and perform dimensional control and as-built surveys, communicating findings clearly to supervisors and operatives.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with reinforced concrete is essential.
• Experience with EDM/Total Station is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design process coordination, planning and programming for work packages.
• Provide dimensional control for a section of works.
• Undertake as-built surveys and present results for project records.
• Check dimensions early in the design data, raising technical queries to avoid delays.
• Ensure that as-built surveys are recorded and communicated.
• Manage survey equipment and keep calibration to prevent dimensional errors.
• Raise NCRs for non-conformances and report potential issues.
• Implement the ITP and ensure witness sign-off at each step.
• Collate and file quality records for QA documentation.
• Communicate technical information to supervisors and operatives clearly.
