Job summary

Skyports Limited in London is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer focusing on backend and integrations to join Infrastructure Services. You will design, build and operate backend services for charging orchestration and integrate with a partner eVTOL charging system.

This is a hands-on, hybrid role requiring travel within the UK during the contract. You will work with a frontend developer to deliver a joined-up product, contribute to platform and deployment pipelines, and help maintain

Qualifications

• Solid experience building production Go backends and testing.
• Hands-on Azure cloud engineering including identity, networking, storage.
• Proficient with Terraform for IaC and container deployments.
• Experience designing RESTful and gRPC APIs.
• Familiar with real-time/event-driven systems (WebSockets, Kafka, Event Hubs).
• Knowledge of AI coding agents in daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services for charging orchestration.
• Lead technical integration with partner eVTOL charging systems.
• Develop event-driven real-time data services with reliable retrials.
• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
• Collaborate with frontend, product and operations to deliver features.
• Represent Skyports in partner meetings and workshops.
• Travel within the UK occasionally during the contract.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in reviews.
