Job summary

Skyports Limited is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer (Backend and Integrations) in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on building backend services for charging software and coordinating integration with a partner eVTOL charging company.

You will work closely with frontend developers to deliver a joined-up product, travel within the UK, and contribute to multiple Infrastructure Services projects as priorities require.

Qualifications

• Backend services experience with Go in production environments.
• Strong Azure cloud engineering experience including identity and networking.
• Experience designing and integrating REST/gRPC APIs.
• Familiarity with event-driven real-time systems and messaging (WebSockets, Kafka).

Responsibilities

• Build the backend services and APIs behind charging orchestration software.
• Own the charging integration with partner eVTOL systems from interfaces to testing.
• Develop real-time data handling with reliable event-driven services.
• Manage Azure infrastructure with Terraform and support deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with frontend, product and operations to implement features.
• Represent Skyports with external partners and travel within the UK.
