Job summary

Air Apps is hiring a Backend DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will collaborate with developers to optimize deployments, implement IaC, and manage cloud resources across major platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus strong scripting and security practices in a fast-paced, onsite Lisbon environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong expertise with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Solid Linux, networking, and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices, logging, and access controls.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment efficiency and troubleshoot issues.
• Optimize cloud spend for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Automate provisioning, config management, and maintenance tasks.
• Stay updated on DevOps trends and best practices.
