Air Apps in Lisbon is seeking a DevOps Engineer Backend to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will collaborate with developers in person at our Lisbon office to deliver scalable, secure services.

The role requires 3+ years in DevOps/SRE or Cloud Engineering, strong experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, IaC, and container orchestration. We offer relocation support and a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and serverless computing.
• Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes (Helm).
• Linux, networking, and security best practices knowledge.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization, scalability, and high-availability.
• Strong problem-solving and agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Implement IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage Docker/Kubernetes workloads.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices (identity, logging, vulnerability mgmt).
• Collaborate with devs to improve deployment efficiency.
• Optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Automate provisioning, config management, and maintenance.
• Stay current with DevOps trends and tools.
