Job summary

Business Stream Ltd. in Edinburgh is seeking a Sales Executive for the Retentions team to retain and renew UK non-household water contracts. You will focus on SMEs, understand client needs, present value, and spot opportunities to support existing customers with additional sites or services.

The role combines customer service with a commercial mindset, managing renewal activity, supporting campaigns and maintaining CRM records to ensure a positive end-to-end customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales or customer-focused role, ideally within a B2B, utilities or regulated environment.
• A target-focused approach, with the ability to balance commercial goals with great customer outcomes.
• Confidence having meaningful conversations with customers and building positive relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Good organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage workload, deadlines and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal activity and contract renewals for existing customers.
• Support sales campaigns and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services.
• Keep accurate records of customer interactions and updates in CRM.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure a smooth customer journey from first contact to contract completion.
