Job summary

Gloucestershire College is seeking a safeguarding and wellbeing lead to support students' safety, wellbeing and success. You will manage safeguarding concerns, provide advice and one-to-one support, and collaborate with colleagues and external agencies.

The role involves delivering awareness sessions, contributing to college initiatives, maintaining accurate records, and keeping safeguarding knowledge up to date through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated safeguarding awareness and ability to establish safe, inclusive environments.
• Experience contributing to or leading multi-agency meetings.
• Experience responding to disclosures of abuse and maintaining confidential safeguarding records.

Responsibilities

• Manage safeguarding concerns and provide one-to-one support to students.
• Work with colleagues and external agencies to arrange appropriate support.

About this Role

You'llsupport students' safety, wellbeing and success by managing safeguardingconcerns, providing advice and one-to-one support, and working closely withcolleagues and external agencies where needed. You'll help learners overcomechallenges, respond to welfare and safeguarding concerns, and ensureappropriate support is in place. You'll also deliver awareness sessions,contribute to positive college-wide initiatives, maintain accurate records, andkeep your safeguarding knowledge up to date through ongoing professionaldevelopment.

You will have:

• GSCP Safeguarding Level 3 UnderstandingChild Protection qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience contributing to or leadingmulti-agency meetings
• Experience of:
  • Responding appropriately to disclosuresof abuse
  • Undertaking risk assessments and safetyplanning
  • Maintaining accurate safeguardingrecords
