Job summary

Chichester College Group seeks a part-time Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer in Crawley to support students with health and wellbeing needs and contribute to the college's mental health strategy.

The role is term-time, on-site, with safeguarding duties as part of a team. Applicants will need GCSE English and maths at C/4 or higher and a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.

Salary: Pro rata of £27,785 - £30,364 per annum (i.e. £9,669.87 - £10,567.43), plus pro rata of £610.08 Crawley Weighting per annum (i.e. £212.32)

Do you have experience and an interest in supporting young people, and knowledge of mental health and safeguarding? Crawley College is recruiting for a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer on a part time, term time only basis.

As a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer you will:

Provide support to students with a range of health and wellbeing needs

Assist on the delivery of the Mental Health Strategy

Be a member of the Safeguarding Team, which includes being duty officer on a rota basis.

What you will bring to the role:

GCSEs at grade C/4 or above specifically in English and maths and a L3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent are essential.

A Counselling qualification is desirable. You will have experience in providing support to young people with mental health difficulties.

Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, at all ages and levels.

Understanding of equal opportunities & safety issues and risk assessments.
