Job summary

Gloucestershire College is seeking a safeguarding and welfare support worker to help students thrive by responding to safeguarding concerns, providing one-to-one guidance, delivering awareness sessions and coordinating with external agencies to ensure suitable support. The role emphasises building positive relationships with learners and families while maintaining confidentiality.

Job description

You'll support students' safety, wellbeing and success by managing safeguarding concerns, providing advice and one-to-one support, and working closely with colleagues and external agencies where needed. You'll help learners overcome challenges, respond to welfare and safeguarding concerns, and ensure appropriate support is in place. You'll also deliver awareness sessions, contribute to positive college-wide initiatives, maintain accurate records, and keep your safeguarding knowledge up to date through ongoing professional development.
