Job summary

City College Norwich is seeking a safeguarding professional to join the Wellbeing and Safeguarding team as Safeguarding Officer. The role requires extensive safeguarding experience, a relevant professional qualification, and the ability to work with multi-agency partners to support students and vulnerable adults.

Some evening work and DBS checks are part of the role, with backups as needed. The post is based at Paston and Easton with occasional travel to Norwich, and will involve coordinating

APTC Scale SO1, £21,025 to £22,408 actual per annum

Are you a passionate safeguarding professional committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people?

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Wellbeing and Safeguarding team and play a key role in promoting the safety, wellbeing and success of our students.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in safeguarding and child protection, ideally gained within a social work, education or related setting. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary Wellbeing team, providing support to students and, where appropriate, making referrals to Children's and Adult Social Care and other specialist services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional communicator who thrives in partnership working. You will build strong relationships with colleagues, students and external agencies, taking a lead role in multi-agency working to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.

The role requires excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage a busy and varied caseload, maintain accurate records and coordinate support effectively. A keen eye for detail, sound professional judgement and the ability to prioritise competing demands are essential.
