Job summary

Cognitive Group | Part Of The Focus Cloud Group is seeking a Lead Integration Developer to own Azure integration projects in a hybrid UK setting. You’ll lead design and delivery of cloud-native solutions, working closely with customers and stakeholders while staying hands-on.

The role combines architecture leadership with hands-on development in .NET, Azure services, and CI/CD, mentoring a small team and driving secure, scalable integrations for government and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Azure integration experience
• UK Government Security Clearance
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing other engineers
• Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven and serverless architectures
• Experience contributing to solution design and architecture
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Confidence working in client-facing and consulting environments
• Strong written and spoken English
• Azure certifications, or a commitment to working towards them
• Experience with CI/CD and continuous integration
• Experience using GitHub Copilot and modern developer tooling

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Azure integration solutions
• Translate business requirements into robust integration architectures
• Provide technical direction across design, development and best practice
• Lead and mentor a small to mid-sized team of developers
• Act as a technical lead and escalation point for complex issues
• Run technical workshops and advise clients on integration strategy
• Help customers identify the right Azure integration approaches
• Stay hands-on, building and supporting key integration components
• Work closely with clients, technical teams and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
