Job summary

Willis Re is building its global technology estate from the ground up, focusing on cloud-native data analytics and modern platforms. The Solution Architect will own end-to-end design across greenfield initiatives for reinsurance broking, analytics, and client-facing platforms.

Working with the Head of Architecture & Engineering and strategic partners, you will shape architectures, drive engineering standards, and mentor engineers while ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in solution architecture in insurance or financial services.
• Strong practical programming in C#/.NET or Python with SQL.
• Experience with Azure cloud, DevOps and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on Azure.
• Architect data lake pipelines and governance for large data volumes.
• Prototype proofs of concept and support key technical decisions.
• Define third-party integrations using API-first and event-driven patterns.
• Embed security, zero-trust, and compliance into designs.
• Lead engineers and govern architecture artefacts in ARB.
