Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to own Azure cloud architecture across the business. You will design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, act as SME, and guide internal consultants on solution design and best practices.

The role emphasizes Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and cloud integrations, with mentorship of junior engineers and setting technical standards across the team. Hybrid work available in Oxfordshire.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering and architecture.
• Designing scalable, secure cloud solutions end-to-end.
• IaC using Bicep or Terraform.
• CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Cloud automation with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Security, governance, and compliance in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Acting as architectural authority and providing guidance.
• Supporting consultants with cloud solutioning and infrastructure recommendations.
• Building and managing cloud resources (VMs, SQL Servers, Web Apps, Docker).
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Leading on Infrastructure-as-Code and automation.
• Leading cloud integrations (Azure Integration Services).
• Supporting governance, security, backup and recovery processes.
• Contributing to AI-driven internal projects.
• Mentoring junior engineers and setting technical standards.
