Job summary

System C is hiring a Cloud Engineer to join the Managed and Cloud Services team in a hybrid role in the UK. You will support deployment, operation and maintenance of internal and customer cloud environments, working alongside experienced engineers to deliver reliable services and successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in cloud technologies (Azure) and a proactive, curious mindset, with exposure to IaaS/SaaS/PaaS and basic scripting.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud platforms and services.
• Understanding of IaaS, SaaS and PaaS environments.
• Basic scripting with PowerShell.
• Exposure to infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP and IIS on Microsoft stacks.
• Basic networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deploying, configuring and supporting cloud infrastructure and services.
• Monitoring health, performance and cost of cloud and on-prem environments.
• Supporting implementation of cloud solutions for internal and customer systems.
• Troubleshooting issues across Azure and Microsoft environments.
• Contributing to disaster recovery, backup testing and resilience initiatives.
• Maintaining technical documentation and runbooks.
• Identifying risks and escalating as needed.
• Collaborating with colleagues to foster a supportive team culture.
