Job summary

Understanding Solutions is seeking an AWS Cloud Platform Architect to design and deliver a cloud-first platform for a major media/entertainment client. You will move high-performance workloads to AWS and enable remote access via cloud-based workstations with minimal latency.

The role emphasizes AWS networking, VPC design, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and remote-workstation platforms (WorkSpaces, DCV, Teradici, Citrix or equivalents).

Qualifications

Strong hands-on AWS architecture experience.
Excellent AWS networking knowledge.
VPC architecture and routing.
AWS Direct Connect.
Transit Gateway.
Hybrid / remote connectivity.
Amazon WorkSpaces, NICE DCV, Teradici, HP Anyware, Citrix or similar.
Experience designing secure and performant remote-working environments.
Strong architecture/design experience – HLD / LLD.

Responsibilities

Translate user and application requirements into secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to design a cloud-first platform.
Focus on performance, latency, and cost optimisation for remote workloads.
Support design and delivery of the platform across networking, compute, and storage.
