Job summary

Jackalope Digital LLC, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer based in the United Kingdom. This mid‑level role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimizing AWS environments to meet diverse client needs.

You will automate with Terraform/CloudFormation, build CI/CD pipelines, configure Kubernetes, and ensure secure networking and cost efficiency. The environment is client‑facing and dynamic, offering opportunities to influence cloud architecture and technology

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as Cloud/AWS engineer or related infra role.
• Hands‑on deploying/configuring AWS resources in production/client envs.
• IaC experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/CircleCI/GitHub Actions in practice.
• Kubernetes cluster config and containerized deployments.
• Strong AWS networking, VPC, and cloud security knowledge.
• Troubleshoot deployment/infrastructure issues with structured approaches.
• Identify opportunities for performance, scalability, cost optimization.
• Strong communication to clients and stakeholders.
• AWS Associate or Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain modular AWS-based systems and infrastructure.
• Advise clients on design, architecture, and implementation of AWS cloud tech.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve deployment challenges across cloud envs.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using IaC and CM practices.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD processes with GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub Actions.
• Configure Kubernetes clusters and support deployments in containers.
• Design and maintain secure AWS networking, including VPCs.
• Optimize operations for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Ensure data storage/processing meets client requirements and standards.
• Apply AWS security best practices throughout architecture and delivery.
• Stay updated with emerging AWS services and practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and clients on solutions.
