Job summary

CDL is seeking an Intermediate Platform Engineer to deliver and support cloud infrastructure and platform services. You will design and maintain IaC solutions, build CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with engineering, architecture and security teams to improve reliability, performance and security.

The role emphasises AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery and automation. You will work in a hybrid environment with a focus on AWS, Terraform and modern practices, contributing to

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Understanding Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to investigate and resolve infra issues in a timely manner.
• Experience planning and delivering infra tasks, upgrades and migrations.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security and identity concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools like Kiro, GitLab Duo, Microsoft Copilot.
• Ability to leverage AI outputs with engineering judgement and validation.
• Interest in emerging technologies to improve productivity and platform capabilities.
• AWS certifications desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, platform and application performance issues.
• Design, implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations and modernisation initiatives.
• Contribute to reliability, availability and security of platform services.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce operational effort.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Contribute to incident, problem and change management activities.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools and approaches for platform capabilities.
• Utilise AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, automation and operational efficiency.
