Job summary

Matchtech's Defence sector client in Farnborough seeks a seasoned Cloud Engineer to enable secure, scalable cloud capabilities in complex environments. You will design, deploy and operate AWS-based solutions and drive IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM templates.

Role requires CI/CD expertise, strong networking knowledge, and adherence to security best practices. Site attendance is three days/week with SC clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
Experience designing, deploying and managing AWS solutions.
Proficient with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, networking and security best practices.
Eligible for SC clearance or similar security screening.

Responsibilities

Build and configure cloud services to meet business and app requirements.
Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, cost and security.
Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates.
Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
Enforce cloud security, IAM, encryption and network controls.
Collaborate with development, operations and security teams for deployments.
