Job summary

Templer HomeBuild is seeking an Awaab's Law Supervisor to lead the day-to-day management of damp, mould, condensation and disrepair cases within Teign Housing community.

Working with trade teams, you will ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, housing standards, and organisational policies, and you will take ownership of inspections, remedial works and on-site welfare checks. The role requires leadership of a directly employed and subcontract trade workforce.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level or equivalent in a core trade.
• SSSTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
• Sound knowledge of construction processes.
• Ability to lead a trade workforce and set examples.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of damp, mould, condensation and disrepair cases.
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law and housing standards.
• Coordinate inspections, remedial work, post-inspections and case closure.
• Identify risks, manage resident decants, monitor contractors and drive service improvements.
• Complete on-site welfare checks and PPE/tool inspections.

Help Us Keep Residents Safe. Templer HomeBuild are expanding their response and larger works team; We're looking for an Awaab's Law & Disrepair Supervisor to support our commitment in repairing and maintaining safe homes to Teign Housings community.

Working with your Trade teams, you'll take ownership of damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair cases, ensuring issues are resolved quickly, safely, and in line with Awaab's Law requirements.

If you're an organised trades person with foreperson or supervisory experience looking to take ownership of an important and growing area of social housing compliance, we'd love to hear from you.

The Awaab's Law Supervisor Role

• Lead the day-to-day management of damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair cases.
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, housing standards, and organisational policies.
• Coordinate property inspections, remedial works, post-inspections, and case closure activities.
• You'll also take a lead role in identifying risks, managing resident decants where necessary, monitoring contractor performance, and driving service improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Health and Safety reporting – you will complete on-site welfare checks, including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, van, and tool/equipment inspections.

What will you bring as a Awaab's Law Supervisor?

• Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level or equivalent in a core trade
• SSSTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential
• Sound knowledge of construction processes
• The ability to 'lead by example' and incentivise an experienced directly employed and subcontract trade workforce
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Supervisor role.
