Job summary

Templer HomeBuild is expanding its response and larger works team. We are seeking an Awaab’s Law & Disrepair Supervisor to support our commitment in repairing and maintaining safe homes for Teign Housing’s community.

You will lead damp, mould, condensation and disrepair casework with trade teams and ensure issues are resolved quickly, safely and in line with Awaab’s Law requirements. A high level of organisation and supervisory experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level in a core trade.
• SSSTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
• Sound knowledge of construction processes.
• Ability to lead and incentivise a trade workforce.
• Full UK Driving licence essential for the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair cases.
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, housing standards, and organisational policies.
• Coordinate property inspections, remedial works, post-inspections, and case closures.
• Identify risks, manage resident decants where necessary, monitor contractor performance, and drive service improvements.
• Complete on-site welfare checks and health and safety reporting (PPE, van, tools).

Working with your Trade teams, you'll take ownership of damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair cases, ensuring issues are resolved quickly, safely, and in line with Awaab's Law requirements.

The Awaab’s Law Supervisor role:

• Lead the day-to-day management of damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair cases.
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, housing standards, and organisational policies.
• Coordinate property inspections, remedial works, post-inspections, and case closure activities.
• You'll also take a lead role in identifying risks, managing resident decants where necessary, monitoring contractor performance, and driving service improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Health and Safety reporting – you will complete on-site welfare checks, including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, van, and tool/equipment inspections.

What will you bring as a Awaab’s Law Supervisor?

• Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level or equivalent in a core trade
• SSSTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential
• Sound knowledge of construction processes
• The ability to ‘lead by example’ and incentivise an experienced directly employed and subcontract trade workforce
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Supervisor role.
