Job summary

Babcock Avionics Engineer role at Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton, Gloucestershire. You will maintain, repair and troubleshoot advanced aircraft avionics and electrical systems to keep aircraft safe, airworthy and available.

Working with the Avionics Supervisor and Maintenance team, you’ll support maintenance plans, meet milestones and uphold aviation safety and compliance standards. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining and repairing aircraft avionics in line or base maintenance environments.
Proven fault-finding and rectification on avionics and electrical systems.
Knowledge of aviation maintenance procedures, tooling control and ground support equipment.
Understanding of Safety Management Systems and aviation flight safety principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to complete technical documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned line and base maintenance activities on rotary aircraft and avionics systems.
Rectify deferred and carry-forward defects in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and the Minimum Equipment List.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems to maintain aircraft availability and airworthiness.
Ensure serviceable tools, equipment, materials and airworthiness data are available to support maintenance activities.
liaise professionally with colleagues and customers while maintaining safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
