Job summary

Babcock is recruiting an Avionics Engineer B2 for Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton. You will maintain and repair complex avionics and electrical systems to keep aircraft safe and available, working within a skilled maintenance team.

Based on-site in Staverton, 40 hours per week, with a focus on compliant, high-quality performance and ongoing professional development in a dynamic aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing aircraft avionics systems in line or base maintenance.
• Proven fault-finding and rectification on avionics and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of aviation maintenance procedures, tooling control and ground support equipment.
• Understanding of Safety Management Systems and aviation flight safety principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to document technically.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned line and base maintenance on rotary aircraft and avionics systems.
• Rectify deferred defects in line with MEL and procedures.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems to maintain airworthiness.
• Ensure serviceable tools and data are available to support maintenance activities.
• Liaise with colleagues and customers ensuring safety, quality and compliance.
