Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer for Staverton, Gloucestershire Airport, on the LAFT Contract. The role demands hands-on airworthiness work in a fast-paced environment with security implications and career development opportunities.

40 hours weekly, on-site at Staverton. UK national security clearances apply, and eligibility is essential. A strong supervisory background and UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Specific technical knowledge in aircraft engineering.
• Strong understanding of customer and contract partnerships.
• Supervisory experience in a Civil/Military Aviation environment.
• Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance to meet contractual requirements.
• Ensure compliance with civilian legislation and company approvals for all maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team and military colleagues to deliver safe, serviceable aircraft.
• Supervise and guide team members to maintain high safety and delivery standards.
• Drive operational excellence and uphold Babcock's reputation for quality and reliability.
